We are pleased to announce that Cadena IDP (as partner) and IBF International Consulting (as lead firm) signed a 3 year contract with the European Union under the lot 4 EU Framework Contract last month. The mission titled ‘Assistance technique au démarrage et suivi du programme d´appui à l´inclusion sociale en Tunisie’ – freely translated as Technical assistance to the launch and monitoring of the improved social inclusion aid programme in Tunisia –  has become ever more pertinent in the context of the enduring pandemic. The pandemic has severely impacted the Tunisian economy and especially vulnerable groups (e.g. women and unemployed youth). The objective of this mission is to help the Ministry of Social Affairs to implement a new national social aid programme called ‘Amen Social’ with the aim to alleviate the hardship under targeted social groups and to sustainably improve the social inclusion in the country. This will be done in coordination with the Ministry for Women, Family and Elderly and the Ministry for Economics, Finance and Investment.

The experts hired by Cadena and IBF will work closely with the EU Delegation in Tunis and the relevant ministries as well as other stakeholders when providing technical assistance in three areas:

– The implementation of the new social aid programme which implies guidance and the development of a system for structured dialogue between the main actors and stakeholders

– Promotion of gender equality

– Contractualisation of EU subsidy contracts
