Cadena is looking for a Local TVET Digitalization & IT Hardware Expert

We are seeking an experienced Egyptian Digitalization & IT Hardware Expert residing in the Greater Cairo Area to become part of the key expert team of the “Consulting Services for the Implementation of the Digitalization Fund for TVET” project. The role focuses on modernizing ICT infrastructure, implementing digital solutions, and supporting TVET initiatives within the TVET sector in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and ICT hardware & Network.

A.      Role and Responsibilities

1.       Infrastructure & Hardware Management

• Design Procurement Documents (ToR, SoW, RFP, RFI, etc.)
• Provide technical assistance in implementing enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and hardware systems.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity building for ICT staff within the MoETE to manage the asset lifecycle, procurement, technical support and maintenance across all sites.
• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of all ICT systems.

2.       Systems & Applications

• Oversee deployment and management of ERP, CRM, LMS, and other critical business/educational systems.
• Provide technical assistance for systems/data migration to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) as appropriate.
• Provide technical assistance & capacity building in the areas of cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001 compliance.

3.       Team & Vendor Management

• Contribute to the procurement document development
• Support the MoETE technical team with necessary technical inputs for effectively managing digital solutions contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs)

4.       TVET-Specific Support

• Support the integration of IT hardware and software within technical labs, simulation environments, and digital learning platforms.
• Ensure reliable and secure IT environments for vocational training and assessment.

B.      Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure, digital transformation, and enterprise system implementations.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or IT Management.
• Professional certifications such as:
• MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, PMP, ITIL
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
• Experience in the TVET, education, or public sector.
• Background in multi-site and multi-entity ICT governance.
